Motivational Monday on Tuesday

The boundaries which divide life from death
are at best shadowy and vague.
Who shall say where one ends,
and the other begins?

A Prayer for Grandpa Haught

Dear Jesus, Divine Physician and Healer of the sick, we turn to you in this time of illness of Bill Haught, a husband, dad and grandfather. O dearest comforter of the troubled, alleviate our worry and sorrow with your gentle love, and grant us the grace and strength to accept this burden. Dear God, we place our worries in your hands. We place him under your care and humbly ask that you restore your servant to health again. Above all, grant us the grace to acknowledge your will and know that whatever you do, you do for the love of us. Amen.

Motivational Monday

"I thank God I live in a country where dreams can come true, where failure is sometimes the first step to success, and where success is only another form of failure if we forget where our priorities should be."

Sewing Sewing Sewing

At Christmas,Cheyann, got her first sewing machine. I can speak honestly and tell you she did not inherit not one sewing trait from me. I have no idea how to sew a button on.  I mean really I do, but I have no desire to even attempt the sewing avenue.  She got it all from my Mom.  Fortunately, mom was excited enough and had enough patience to teach her a thing or two over Christmas Break. I kidded them and told them the days she was staying was called Camp Grandma's Sew Sew!  She learned a lot and was busy as a bee.  She made me a treat and is eager to learn more!  Once again I don't know how I am going to help her if she gets stuck on somethiing...thank Goodness my mom is just a phone call away.  Here are some pics of her concetrating hard on the stitch!
Serious in her thought!

Showing off her first pillowcase!

Roll Tide

On Friday, we headed up to Dallas to spend New Year's with one of Cliff's cousins.  Not only did we get to spend the weekend with Jody, Brenda and their kids but Alabama won.  Jody and Brenda are so much fun to be around and it means alot to have cousins that are also such good friends. We enjoyed the entire weekend.  I think we have started a New Year's family tradition!  At least next year...the fryer will already be put together, otherwise Brenda will have to show you guys how to do things again.  Jody was gracious enough to fry a turkey and Uncle Robert served us some greens and black eyed peas to bring us luck and $ throughout the year.  We spent alot of time freezing our butts off around a campfire talking and laughing.  Watching the guys watch an Alabama game is almost as enjoyable as watching the game itself.

Jody, Uncle Robert and Cliff....good times - Roll Tide
