Chaos and the St. Patrick's Day Bash

Chaos was at it again this past weekend.  Creating havoc and leaving Chaos along the way....I missed Saturday's games and didn't get to witness it but was told the boys played their hearts out...I was able to catch all of Sunday's games and witnessed it myself.  I saw a group of boys fight and play till the end, they never quit and never gave up hope.  Through all the sweat and dirt, they made it through two rounds of games and found themselves in the Championship Game Sunday evening.  A well fought game between two teams with lots of talent and love for the game ended 5-3 with Chaos getting 2nd.  Though they didn't walk away with the first place trophy they proved to me that day that they truly love the game and have an unbelievable desire to do the best they can and never give up!  I was super proud of them this weekend and look forward to the creating memories with Chaos!

After a long awaited five weeks, Cheyann and I finally got to take a trip to Georgetown and meet the newest addition to our family, Ashlyn Faith.  It was hard to have to wait that long!  Ashlyn is a pure bundle of joy and so very good.  She is a very good baby, tolerable of lots of loud noises but I guess she knows she will have to be she has a very talkative Mom, sister and cousin who were all in the house at one time this weekend.  I have laughed and laughed thinking back at Kamryn and all of her Kamrynisms...she is so literal about everything and is a laugh a minute!  She is a big helper and enjoyed very much spending time with Cheyann, doing crafts, walking or just playing....It was a great weekend and I was so thankful I got an O.K Dr. visit from Dr. Kamryn while I was there......Karyn and Robbie you both have a lot to be thankful and proud of, yall have done a great job and have two wonderful blessings.

Birthday Girl!

Today is a very special day, and not just because it is Cheyann's birthday, but because it is the day when we first met our princess.   She is a blessing beyond words that can explain.  We thank God every day for the life of our children.   We have watched her grow from this little brown eyed bubbly baby to a now talkative and yes quit sassy 12 year old!  It is hard to believe 12 years have passed.  She is full of energy, determined, a big talker and has tons of dreams......She is into band, twirlin, sewing and yes Justin Bieber!    Happy Birthday Cheyann!! We love you.

Haden's Baptism

"Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."  Matthew 19:14

We are very proud parents today....Haden got baptized in the Catholic Church.  My mom and dad agreed to be his Godparents.  He is very very blessed to have such wonderful family to help lead the way and guide him through his journey of life and faith.  Aunt Susan, who I swear has earned her wings time and time again, brought my Grandma over for the day.  It was very special to have them all here.  Grandma pulled one over on me without me knowing....when we got home Haden was opening up his Baptismal presents from everyone.  Grandma gave him a card and inside it, it read:

                               "Haden you were Grandpa's first great grandson and I know

                                he would be honored for you have his personal wallet and

                                knowing Grandpa he probably left some money in it.  Proud

                                of you on this important day."

Yes, Grandpa left some money it :-)  But I also know how much both my Grandpas were smiling today and how proud they were of Haden.  It is in an honor for him to have his wallet and he is very proud of it.

To end with a funny...at the end of the ceremony Father said "you are now baptized and all your sins are washed away. You are saints today...I don't know about tomorrow though!"
