Spring Fling

Chaos was back in swing this weekend in the Spring Fling Tournament at Ford Park.  It has been several months since we have played but they gave it their best shot.  We ended up yesterday being 2-0.  Today we played game 1 - came behind from a big deficit and ended up winning 8-7 in the last inning.  That put the boys in the Championship game.  They gave it a pretty good fight; however, lost this one 8-6.  They came home with the 2nd place trophy.  Haden is back at "home" in his cather's gear and gearing up for the heat in the summer.  Stay tuned for many more games and tournaments through the year. This is just the beginning.

Monster Nation

Last night the parents of Chaos Baseball worked the concession stand at Ford Park for Monster Nation as a fundraiser for our team.  A few of our mom's braved the responsibility of being chaperones of about 15 kids (all boys but 2) - taking them with their pitt passes and then watching them during the show.  The kids loved it.  It was so loud - they all had ear plugs and a few had headphones on top of those.  During their trip to the pitt they all got to meet the drivers of Toxic, Tailgater, Big Dawg, Hot Tamale to name a few.  And yes, they all got autographs, and got to ride in Super Smasher.  It was a good fun night!  This group of players and parents have gotten to be great friends!  They're the best. Good times Good Memories....  Here are some pictures:

And then there Six

On February 8, my sister, Karyn and her husband, Robbie, blessed us with another niece, Ashlyn Faith....This now makes an even half dozen between the three of us.  I am so happy for the two of them.  It is a wonderful blessing and I can't wait to meet her. Althought that won't be till March....until then we send them all our love.  And Kamryn, I know will be a great big sister...she is even working on the finger pointing already!  Trust me she will have it down!

Motivational Monday

Hardwork + Dedication = AOE at St. Thomas U.S.V.I.

Cliff is fortunate to work for a company that rewards their hardworking, dedicating, and successful employees.   Cliff is one of the hardest working men I know.  Throughout the year employees have the ability through their dedication to achieve points.  At the end of the year the points are calculated...and Cliff being commercial they only take the top 20 in the company nationwide (along with employees from other divisions) are are awarded a paid trip to a resort.  This year his success landed us along with about 300+ employees of Terminix on a trip to St. Thomas U.S. Virgin Islands....I can't say enough how proud I am of Cliff and how honored I feel to stand beside him. He has set his goals and his achievements are rewarded.  It feels so amazing to have such a wonderful husband who works so hard for his family. 

The Islands were beautiful.  The weather was wonderul and the view from the room was breathless.  I ran from iguanas more than I care to remember - they live freely like squirrels over here.   I should have bought stock in dramamine before we left...We took many of steps touring the island, eating Lobster tail and other delicious foods, meeting new friends, and celebrating Cliff's Award of Excellence.  Thanks Cliff for your hard work - I enjoy celebrating your success with you. 

On a side note, this trip would not have been able to even happen without our dear friends.  Due to unavoidable family circumstances, we felt my parents were much needed elsewhere.  I want to thank my boss, Clint and his wife, Wendy and Christie and Jason for taking such good care of our kids while we were gone.  True friends are hard to find and we thank you!!!!  A few pictures are shared below (for more check out them on Facebook).
